First off, and we'd like to make this quite clear, we do not do mail order ;-)
Why not? Well, you may notice that we try to list all Land Rover parts, however obscure, so that you can order them or at least know if they are obsolete. Others do not - it keeps costs down. When doing mail order we found that while we were getting plenty of orders for the low margin obscure stuff we were not selling (mail order) any of the regular parts, even when we made sure we were cheaper than everyone else. So that, dear reader, is why we do not do mail order.

Placing an on-line order for collection - your bit.

Having found, hopefully, the part you require click on the "Buy" button.
This will take you to the shopping trolley page. Here you can change quantities, or even remove, items from your order. The trolley will remember your order for the duration of your current session.
When you are happy with the selection you have just made, click on "Continue Shopping" which will return you to the page you came from, though sadly it will not go the appropriate part - yet.
When you have completed you order click on "Go To Payments" This secure page will gather your details for payment.
When complete, you will recieve and automatic e-mail from the trolley system acknowledging your order. Nothing will have been taken from you card at this stage.

Our bit
When we receive notification from the system we will examine the order and:
Check with suppliers for the availability and confirm the price of non-stock parts.
Check that stock parts are indeed in stock (what we have on the shelf varies wildly day-to-day, our trade customers will often buy our entire stock of a particular part).
E-mail you if there are any problems. We will not e-mail if all is well.
Assemble your order ready for collection.
E-mail you when it is ready. You are welcome to pick any bits already in stock if you wish.


Please read the following before placing your order.

You will see that parts have an "Availability" comment to the left of the "Buy" button.
"Special Order 3 to 4 days" - these are, typically, Genuine Parts. This how is long the parts, in working days, usually take to reach us when ordered. This cannot be guaranteed though we will do our best.
"Usually Next Working Day" - these are parts that we may, or may not, have on the shelf, but in the worst case would have to be ordered to arrive on the next working day.
"Usually In Stock" - these are parts which we endeavour to keep on the shelf. However, like the best plans, we do sometomes run out if demand is unexpectedly high.
"Tuesday" - these are parts, such as glass, rear crossmembers, doors etc that couriers will not carry any more. We can only get these delivered to us on a Tuesday. Bear in mind that the "3 to 4 days" may also apply!

Here's the heavy bit.

If there are any special order parts on your order, and we have checked that they are available, we will charge your card in full before ordereing. This is because we get charged 15% for returning any unwanted parts, and in the case of Genuine Parts we are unable to return the parts at all after a few days. Sorry about this, we'd much rather not have to do it, but at our last stock take we had just over £5,000 of parts that people ordered and never collected, and we are unlikely to sell in the sort-term. Once the parts are ordered and paid for we will obvioulsy hold them here, but please remember we are not a free storage facility (yes - people really do turn up after 3 months and expect us to have held un-paid for parts for them!).
If there is a genuine reason for cancelling an order we will do what we can on an individual basis, but please be aware that we may have to pass on the 15% handling charge if the parts have been despatched to us from our suppliers.
Warranty - we will replace any defective parts as per normal practice, Sale Of Goods Act etc.

Quotes.

We are happy to quote for parts that have not yet had prices set ("Pending"), but please, no long lists of parts that are already priced on the site.
Hopefully the above makes everything clear as to how we operate our on-line ordering service. We could give the impression that everything is in stock, but that would not be fair to anyone. We feel spelling it all out is much more honest about likely delays and avoids over optimistic expectations on both our and your parts.
