This is a side-fill fuel tank for Short Wheel Base Series II & III vehicles.
Side-fill means that the fuel filler is in the side of the vehicle,
which is usual for civilian vehicles, rather than under the seat as
in a large number of military Series II & III vehicles.
It is suitable for both petrol and diesel vehciles.
